5-story Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1887 as a store-and-lofts building. It is clad in red brick with white stone trim. The ground floor along the avenue is lined with storefronts, and along 19th Street is clad in a browner shade of brick than the upper floors. The main residential entrance is at the far east end of this facade; the glass door is framed by sidelights and topped by a glass transoms, all of which are topped by a larger transom. The entrance is flanked by brown stone Corinthian columns on tall, grey bases, supporting a white entablature with molded cornice. To the left is a square window and small glass doorway, a metal service door below a small window, and a larger opening (formerly a door, now a window) flanked by windows set between white horizontal bands. Carved stone panels are located below these two windows. They, along with the larger opening and the small window above the service door, are all topped by molded, eared lintels, with large brackets extending down the sides of the larger opening. A foliate carved band course runs across the top of the ground floor on this facade.
On 8th Avenue, the upper floors are five bays wide, with paired windows in the center, and single-windows in the outer bays. White stone sill and lintel courses run across the tops of the windows on each floor. The end bays are slightly projected, and have additional ornament which varies at each floor. At the 2nd floor, these bays are banded with darker red stone and the windows have molded hoods and lintels. A band course of joined circles runs below the 3rd floor's sill courses. There is a recessed area above the windows here, with a foliate carved white stone panel. To either side of this are small round-arches, surrounding carved stone relief. At the 4th floor, the end windows are flanked by vertical grooves in the brickwork, and the lintel course is ornamented with an egg-and-dart molding; the window has an ornate molded hood with a rounded top. A dentiled cornice runs below the sill course of the top floor, which has a molded hood and lintel that matches those on the 2nd floor. A grey-brown iron fire escape stretches over the center bays, and the facade is crowned by a matching roof cornice, decorated with carved panels, modillions and scrolled brackets. At its center it is stepped up, with a pair of larger brackets that extend down into the 5th floor, and has two panels decorated with circles flanking a center panel bearing the date 1887,
The south elevation has end bays that match those on the west facade. In between are two central windows with similar ornament, with two more plain windows on the left, and three on the right. Another fire escape runs down these three windows. The roof cornice carries over to this facade, with the same carved panels and modillions. There are brackets at the end bays and above the center windows. The ground floor is occupied by Hoshi Coupe hair salon, 16 Handles frozen yogurt, The Starting Line sportswear store, and Rocking Horse Cafe.
