apartment building, 1830s construction, Federal style (architecture)
3-story Federal-style residential building completed in 1836 for the family of Joseph Tucker. This mansion was largely altered in 1962 and lost most of its original details. The current facade is clad in orange brick above a brownstone basement, with a high stoop leading to a Neo-Federal round-arched doorway below a triangular pediment supported by ornate scrolled brackets. The windows have stone sills and metal cornices, and the house is topped by a metal roof cornice with paired brackets.
