5-story residential building completed in 1848 as a townhouse. It was originally Greek-revival in design, but has since been altered, with much of the ornament removed. The current 3-bay facade is clad in dark green-painted brick above a modern storefront. The 2nd floor has one horizontal studio window, and the upper three floors have three bays of single windows. At the roof line is a simple brick parapet. The ground floor is occupied by Spring Nail Beauty Spa. Artist Marcel Duchamp rented the 4th floor here in 1943, where he secretly worked on Etant Donnes, a collection of found objects now in the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
