4-story Federal-style residential building originally completed in 1828 as a 3.5-story townhouse, built by and for George Smith. It was raised to four full floors in 1882, with a rear extension. It was later rehabilitated by owner Vincent Pepe and architect Frank Vitolo in 1916 when the studio windows were put in. The brick facade is painted bright red, with white window frames and modillioned roof cornice. The ground floor is occupied by Hamlet's Vintage, with Campos Laundry and Cleaners in the basement.
