apartment building, 1899_construction
A connected series of 6-story Renaissance-revival residential buildings all completed in 1899 and designed by Michael Bernstein. They are clad in tan and brown brick, with a mix of window ornament. Some have stone cornices, some rounded and triangular pediments, and some are round-arched. Each facade has a wrought-iron fire escape with basket-style landings on the southern two. Tomoe Sushi and Lupa Osteria Romana restaurants are on the ground floor of No. 170-172.
