4-story Greek-revival residential building completed in 1839 as a 3.5-story townhouse. Architect Josephine Wright Chapman upgraded the house, added casement windows to the parlor floor, and finished out the attic level in 1917. The 3-bay facade is clad in red brick above a brownstone basement. The front stoop leads up to a doorway framed by brownstone pilasters supporting an entablature. The 4th floor has a recessed bay window interrupting the white wooden roof cornice.
The building has remained a residential building except for a brief period when the Village Jewish Group purchased the property in 1947, converting the basement and first story into a community center.
