3-story residential building originally completed in 1835 as a row house. An 1893 alteration converted it to a store, office and two-family residence. It is clad in orange brick, three bays wide, with white sills and lintels, and a small white metal roof cornice. The ground-floor storefront has wood infill, framed by cast-iron piers and topped by an iron lintel. It housed a dive bar through much of the late 19th century, and was owned and lived in by Liugi Fuzazi, an Italian padrone, from 1904-1930. Since 1967, Kenny's Castaways bar had occupied the ground floor, until it recently closed in 2012. It is now Carroll Place gastropub and wine bar.
