Joined Federal-style tenement buildings completed in 1832, the eastern portion (No. 145) is 4.5 stories, and was home to John Fenimore Cooper, author of Last of the Mohicans, in the 1830s. The Peculier Pub is located at the ground level, with Choga Korean & Japanese restaurant directly above it. The center structure, at 6 floors, is the site of the Bitter End, where Bob Dylan played in the summer on 1975. The western portion (No. 149), also 4.5-stories, is occupied by Wicked Willy's bar & lounge on the ground level, with Terra Blues directly above. The entire building is clad in various iterations of red brick, and there are two rounded dormers on each of the lower sections.
