5-story Queen Anne-style mercantile building completed in 1890. Designed by F. & W.E. Bloodgood and John B. Snook & Sons as a store-and-loft building, its façade is constructed of red brick on the upper floors, and green-painted cast-iron at the ground floor and three end bays at the 2nd-story (the longer Lafayette Street elevation runs for 11 bays). These bays, along with the three bays on the 2nd floor on the north facade, are defined by fluted pilasters with Corinthian capitals, supporting dentiled cornices. Most of the ground-floor pilasters and piers have been obscured by altered storefronts with metal roll-down gates. The red brick portions of the facade have windows joined by continuous sandstone sill and lintel courses, and both facades are crowned by a green bracketed roof cornice.
