6-story Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1888 as an office building. Designed by Samuel A. Warner with a brick, terra-cotta and sandstone facade, it has three main bays on Broadway, and five on Howard Street. At the Broadway facade, each bay is subdivided into two windows, separated by cast-iron pilasters on the 2nd floor, and brick piers above. The center bay is narrower. On the top floor, the two outer bays each have three windows instead of two. The main piers have Corinthian capitals at the 3rd & 5th floors, where cornices divide the floors. Above the 6th floor is a white modillioned roof cornice.
The longer Crosby Street elevation has its three center bays on the ground floor filled-in with red-painted brick, although the narrow cast-iron pilasters still exist in the middle bay. The end bays are each divided into three openings by cast-iron pilasters. On the upper floors, above a cornice, each bay has three openings. The center and outer bays on the 2nd floor have narrow cast-iron pilasters; the rest are divided by brick piers with limestone bases and caps. The 2nd & 4th bays are wider, with broader piers between the windows. There are Corinthian capitals on the piers and cornices at the 3rd & 5th floors. At the top floor of the center and outer bays, there are four windows instead of three. The eastern window in the 2nd bay from the east on each floor has been bricked-in. Like the Broadway side, this elevation is crowned by a white modillioned roof cornice. The building was converted to residential lofts by Joseph Pell Lombardi.
