Mandarin Plaza

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / Broadway, 376
 condominium, high-rise, 1990_construction

25-story postmodern residential building completed in 1990. Designed by Daniel Pang & Associates, it is faced in two tones of brick (red and orange), has stone string courses at each floor, and has sliding aluminum windows in groups of two, three, and four, except on the southern elevation which has only two bays of small windows above the 14th floor. Air conditioning vents are located beneath each window.

The 1-story base, with multi-pane aluminum show windows and paired entry doors, extends out into the plaza on all sides. The plaza, paved in hexagonal-shaped concrete blocks, has steps, brick planters, and a metal pagoda. On Cortlandt Alley, the base has a service entry and is bordered by a planting bed. The ground floor is occupied by a Harley-Davidson showroom.
