6-story Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1893. Designed by Thomas R. Jackson as a store-and-loft building, it has a black casl-iron ground floor, topped by a cornice. The three eastern bays on the North Moore Street facade were originally loading bays. The yellow iron- spot brick upper facade has two tiers, with a secondary terra-cotta cornice above the 4th floor; pilastes with terra-cotta capitals enrich the upper tier at the Hudson Street facade and the western end of the North Moore Street facade. Vertical brick patterning enhances these pilasters and sections of the wall between the widely-spaced windows of the side facade.
The windows have rock-faced granite lintels and sills. A terra-cotta cornice surmounts the Hudson Street facade and returns on North Moore Street; the eastern portion of the side facade has a corbelled brick cornice. A black metal fire escape also runs down the Moore Street facade.
The building was first occupied by the firm of Bogle & Scott, grocery importers. After the turn of the century the building was leased by the Burton & Davis Company, wholesale grocers. The upper floors were converted to apartments in the late 1900s. The ground floor is occupied by Bubby's Bar.
