Estate home designed c. 1922 in the Colonial Revival style by Cross & Cross on originally 181 acres of land for Edward Small Moore, Sr {industrialist, capitalist, financier, publisher}. Moore served as vice president of American Brake & Foundry Co. and director of American Can Co., National Biscuit Co., Beech-Nut Packing Co., Lehigh Valley Railroad, New York Trust Co., and The Sheridan Press. Moore also commissioned formal landscaping in the form of evergreen setting by Lewis & Valentine for the estate.

After divorcing Moore, his former wife Jean remarried Charles Dana Draper {financier} who subsequently owned the home with her. Draper was a partner in the firm of H.N. Whitney, Goadby & Co stock brokerage firm. The estate was later purchased in 1959 for use as a clubhouse for a Levitt development. It is now adaptively reused as the Royalton at Roslyn Country Club.
