Estate home designed by noted architect John Russell Pope in 1916 in the Italian Farmhouse style on 38 acres for Robert Low Bacon {attorney, politician, financier} on a portion of his parents' next door estate "Old Acres". In addition to a private practice as an attorney, Bacon was a member of the Kissel, Kinnnicutt & Co and a member of the 1st district of Congress from 1923-1938. Bacon had a large track installed on the estate for riding horses and landscaping reportedly by Martha Brooks Hutcheson. The estate was sold in 1975 to Lawrence Kadish.
