  • SGI Building is 20 storeys tall, with 18 occupied stories and two utility stories at the very top. The 18th floor, the highest occupied floor features a cafeteria with a breathtaking view of South West Regina including views of the airport, Cathedral Village, City Hall, much of Wascana Park, the Twin Towers and a direct view of the Saskatchewan Legistlature, directly up it's front mall. The building is connected to the Cornwall Center to the East through a linked hall and the SaskTel building to the North East via underground parking garage. The main floor features a license issuing counter for public use, a beautiful marble floor and access to the 4 high speed elevators. A security desk centered on the main floor controls traffic in and out of the tower. The tower sits atop a parking garage 3 stories deep. The building underwent a major renovation and addition to the main floor in 2003. The building is directly on the major interchange street for the Regina Transit System.
  • April 2009/2010 120kms winds caused the 20 story building to sway 14 to 18 inches making people feel noxious. A crack on the exterior north west side wall is found. Just before lunch the building is evacuated and engineers inspect fearing that if one exterior panel fails it would cause a domino effect of the surrounding panels. Back in 2003 water seeped into the foundation causing deterioration of a post tension cable. 2.4 million was spent to fix it. Concerns rose over the buildings foundation as well as Regina well known bad soil conditions for building on.
  • As of late 2012, SGI will be moving out of this building into new 200000 Square foot tower. No details have been released on this new tower such as location or renderings. SGIs current tower will be sold/leased to developers. The entire tower is in need of renovation due to damage to the foundation, curtain wall and other mechanical problems.
