The first of Saskatoon's large-format ("big box") commercial developments, the first stores opened in 2002 in conjuction with the completion of the Preston Avenue/Attridge Drive & Circle Drive interchange. Construction has been completed in phases, with the third phase being completed in 2010 and the fourth phase in 2012. A fifth phase has been announced for the land west of the Old Navy store.

The partial cloverleaf interchange was completed in 2002. Previously, Preston Avenue joined Circle Drive in a straight line to the north, and Attridge Drive joined Circle Drive at a signal-controlled at-grade intersection. Preston Avenue was realigned to curve eastward at meet Attridge Drive at the new overpass. The interchange was built to improve traffic flow into and out of the growing northeast part of Saskatoon. It and the realignment of Preston Avene was a crucial part of the development of Preston Crossing.
