Stonegate is a "big box" (large format) shopping complex. Several stores have already been completed, including Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Adidas outlet store, and others. Construction is continuing as of 2008.
Construction of a diamond interchange began north of this location in the summer of 2006. Residents had been clamoring for this interchange for the last 35 years; it was primarily built to service the Stonegate shopping centre. The interchange was completed and opened to traffic on November 20, 2007.
