212-foot, 22-story postmodern residential building completed in 1998. Designed by the Stephen B. Jacobs Group, it is clad in pale orange-pink brick with limestone trim. The base is formed by a tall ground floor with limestone cladding, banded brick piers, and dark red granite plinths on the two limestone piers framing the main entrance. There are bronze-and-glass double-doors and sidelights, covered by a suspended metal canopy, with a large fanlight above. On either side is a black metal service door. Continuing out, each side has metal-and-glass storefronts, with the north side divided into two bays and the south side into three bays by the brick piers. A dark-grey stone band caps the base.
Above the ground floor the massing is divided into three wings, with the center one recessed. The north and south wings both have an inner bay of double-windows and an outer bay of tripartite windows. The middle wing has two bays of French doors opening onto projecting concrete balconies with decorative metal railings. The three wings are divided by a deeper recessed bay of double-windows on either side of the middle wing, and the inward-facing sides of the outer wings each have another bay of double-windows. All three wings are capped by broad limestone bands, and there is another band fronting the bottom of the middle wing, with more decorative metal railings at either end, fronting the deeply recessed joining bays. There are thin stone bands across the tops of the windows, and thin dashes of black accent brick along the sides of the windows, as well as metal air-conditioning vents at each bay.
The upper floors are set back above the three wings. On the east facade they consist of two middle bays with balconies like those below. To the north there is a double-window bay, a projecting tripartite window bay, and a single-window at the corner, wrapping around to the north facade. To the south is the same pattern, but with more space between the first double-window and the projecting bay.
The south facade has tripartite end bays, wrapping around the corners, with three double-windows and a single-window in the middle of each floor. The north facade has another tripartite window wrapping around the east corner, but fewer windows overall, with a double-window and two small double-windows in the middle. The rear, west-facing facade has a double-window and a tripartite window at the north end, then two recessed tripartite window bays, and then another double-window and three tripartite window bays.
The building contains 183 apartment units. The ground floor is occupied by Gramercy Park Dental & Optical, and Sucker Punch sports bar.
