6-story residential building completed in 1930. Designed by George F. Pelham, it is clad in tan brick (painted white at the ground floor, which is lined with glass-and-metal storefronts). The building is H-shaped, with a light court at the center of the north and south facades. There is a mirror-image building on the north side of the block, 220 West 24th, that has the same design, except that the ground floor has no commercial storefronts. The ground floor extends out from the light court to form an unbroken facade, with the main entrance in the middle, with glass double-doors. To either side is a small storefront, and the west and east wings each have three wider storefronts.
At the upper floors, the deeply-recessed center bay has two sets of double-windows fronted by a black metal fire escape. To either side is a section that is not as far recessed, both with a bay of double-windows. The inward-facing side walls of the light court have three bays of single-windows, the middle ones larger than the others. There are also black metal fire escapes running down these walls. The east and west wings of the north facade have, from inward to outward, a bay of paired windows, a double-window bay (where one pane is slightly narrower than the other, and these windows are also shorter), and then four bays of single-windows.
At the upper floors the end bays are framed by projecting, vertical bands of brick angled out to a point. In between floors each bay has small, vertical bands of brick. The roof line is marked by a simple stone coping. The ends of both wings both have another fire escape. The building contains 118 apartment units.
The ground floor is occupied by Northwell Health/Go Health Urgent Care, Metro by T-Mobile, Eye Candy vintage clothing store, an AT&T wireless store, Cobbler Shoe Spa, and Haircrafters barber shop. It is currently managed by Akelius Properties.
