Yakoruda Lakes

The Yakoruda Lakes are a group of 3 glacial lakes in the eastern part of Rila mountain. They are situated between Kovach peak and Suha Vapa peak. The highest of them is the Blue Lake. It is the smallest of these three lakes. Golyama Banenska river starts from the "Ribnoto" lake. It is the largest and the deepest. The route from Nehtenitsa area to the lakes is about 2 hours. The path is relatively easy and pleasant.
