The town of Gabrovo, centre of the Gabrovo District in Bulgaria. This town is locally (jokingly) known as the world capital of humour. In Bulgaria, many jokes are being told about the people from Gabrovo; and on the other hand, many jokes in Bulgaria are claimed to come from Gabrovo (although this is probably a myth). In the vicinity are the ancient villages of Etara and Bozhentsi. 20 km from Gabrovo lies the geographical centre of Bulgaria on the Uzana Plateau.
