Seven Lakes is a group of glacial lakes, located in the Rila Mountains. This is the most visited by tourists lake group in Bulgaria, part of 100 Tourist Sites of Bulgaria. Lakes are located in northwestern Damgskia share of Rila and are located between 2,100 and 2,500 m above sea level. They are located stepped - grooves on slope of the mountain, as individual lakes are linked by a small streams. Upon passage of water in these streams are formed water jumps and small waterfalls. The name of each of the Seven Lakes has a connection with specific features of an external lake. Lake, which is situated in the most altitude, is named "Salzata" because of the transparency of water that offer visibility in depth. Next in height is available "Eye", which was virtually perfect oval. The "Eye" is the deepest cirque lake in Bulgaria - 37.5 meters deep. The "Babreka" Lake is with steep banks of the whole group. Fourth Lake is "Bliznaka". This is the largest lake of Seven Lakes. "Trilistnika" Lake is irregular shape and low coast. The shallowest lake is "Ribnoto" Lake. The lowest of the lakes is "Dolnoto" Lake. It collects water, which expires at the other. Lower lake is launching an Dzherman River.
