Stara Zagora is an important economic center of Bulgaria. Stara Zagora (Bulgarian: Стара Загора, pronounced [ˈstarɐ zɐˈɡɔrɐ]) is the fifth-largest agglomeration in Bulgaria, and the administrative capital of the homonymous Stara Zagora Province located in the historical region of Thrace.
Stara Zagora is known as the city of straight streets, linden trees and poets. It is one of the oldest settlements in Europe, being at least eight thousand years old.
