3-story mercantile building originally completed in 1845 as a townhouse. It was first partially converted for commercial use in 1881. The first story was also extended 26 feet at the rear. Taylor & Sons, one of several piano stores located in the district, occupied the store in the 1890s. In 1902, interior alteration were made to convert the residential floors into lofts. Sometime around 1950 a new red brick facade was constructed on the building, with three bays of windows. The ground-floor storefront is flanked by iron piers with fluted bases and incised capitals. The ground floor is capped by a course of black-painted concrete. The facade is capped by a simple white metal roof cornice. The ground floor is occupied by Sweetgreen restaurrant.
