5-story early Romanesque-revival residential building completed in 1858 as a townhouse for Sarah Mills. It was adapted for commercial use in the 1880s, housing E.A. Clark Custom Corsets beginning in 1882. In 1887 millionaire dry goods merchant James McCreery purchased the building for $120,000 and had it remodeled to the present brick front. Other early commercial tenants included garment manufacturers, textile merchants, and a jeweler. It was converted to apartments in 1970.

Above the modern glass and black metal storefront at the 1st and 2nd floors, the upper floors are faced with brown-painted brick, and each has three round-arched, wood-framed windows. These are surmounted by dentiled archivolts which rest on unadorned, projecting impost blocks. The original dentiled roof cornice with corbelled brackets remains, topped by a metal railing. The north elevation is a brick wall with chimneys pierced by a square-headed window; a brick chimney projects above the roof line. The ground floor is occupied by Lovesac beanbag chairs.
