4-story Italianate (originally Federal-style) cooperative-apartment building completed in about 1835 as a 3-story townhouse. In 1873 it was raised to four floors with a bracketed cornice ahd molded winsows in the Italianate style, and the first floor and basement were converted for commercial use. For the remainder of the 19th century, it was mixed use.

In 1898 a rear extension was built for use as a kitchen by a restaurant on the ground floor. The 1917 the buidling was solely used by commercial and manufacturing firms. Following WWII, the primary tenant was Air Filters Aircraft Part Manufacturing Company, who remained until 1975. By the 1980s, loft dwellers had taken over the building and it was converted to residential use.
