Three interconnnected 5-story residential Italianate buildings completed in 1854 as store-and-loft buildings. A fourth building at 637 Broadway was also built at the same time, but later demolished. These are the oldest surviving buildings in the NoHo district that were built as commercial structures; they remained in commercial use through most of the 20th century, and converted to an apartment complex in 1985, with an interior courtyard entered on Mercer Street. The facade on Broadway is clad in white stone, with 12 bays of segmental-arched windows; they have curved lintels and stone sills with corbelled feet. The ground floor has black cast-iron pilasters, and is capped by a dentiled band course. At the roof is a dentiled cornice, and a pair of black iron fire escapes run down the facade. The Mercer side is clad in red brick, painted on the ground floor, with white stone sills and lintels.
