6-story Neo-Grec cast-iron residential building completed in 1883. Designed by J. Morgan Slade as a store, its white facade is four bays wide. The upper floors have filigree ironwork connecting decorative colonnettes with Ionic caps to slender pilasters between the windows.
The building was occupied for a time by Charles Scribner Sons, and later housed small manufacturers until the 1970s. It was then converted to joint living/working quarters on the upper floors, and finally to full residential use. The ground floor is occupied by An Original Penguin by Munsingwear.
