12-story neo-Classical residential building completed in 1908. Designed by Frederick C. Browne as a store-and-loft building, it has a 3-story limestone base, three bays wide. The 2-story show windows are topped by a prominent scrolled keystone; the base is topped by a simple cornice with guttae.
There is a 3-stage upper facade. The 6-story 1st stage has grouped windows set in a recessed metal bay below a segmental-arch topped by a scrolled keystone, paneled spandrels decorated with wreaths and rosettes, and ornate wrought-iron grilles set upon the sills; the center window on the 4th story has an elaborate, gabled surround; the 1-story 2nd stage has three windows separated by decorative terra-cotta piers, topped by a denticulated molding; the 2-story 3rd stage has fluted Doric columns of terra-cotta, paneled spandrels, and wrought-iron grilles; the facade is topped by a prominent cornice with blocks and guttae.
In 1932, the building was bought by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and was converted to residential use above the ground floor around 1975. The ground floor is occupied by SoHo Girl boutique.
