6-story residential building completed in 1910. Designed by Louis Charles Mauer as a store-and-loft building, its grid-like red brick facade rests on a rock-faced watertable. The facade is articulated by stringcourses, recessed panels, a perforated parapet, and openings embellished with limestone surrounds.
Various tenants have included Progress Food Products, Beech Nut Life Saver, Inc., the Western Sausage & Provision Company, and Roethlisberger & Company, whose signage is still above the first floor entry. The edifice was converted to cooperative-apartments at the upper stories in 1979-80.
