4-story residential building completed in 1892. Designed by Peter Roberts as a store-and-loft building, it replaced a late Federal-era house. The ground floor has been modernized with a new storefront covered by a blue canvas awning. The upper floors are painted white, with three bays of simple window openings with flat stone lintels at each story. The sheet-metal cornice has brackets and dentils. A brown metal fire escape runs down the center of the facade.

The building was leased at the turn of the century to the Oswego Starch Company, and later used by a variety of butter and egg merchants. The upper floors have been converted to residences with retail space on the ground level, occupied by Tribeca Language Center.
