5-story Italianate residential building completed in 1857 as a store-and-loft building. The ground-floor storefront is clad in painted wood and capped by a modillioned cornice. The upper floors are clad in marble, with molded window surrounds featuring bracketed sills and projecting lintels. A wrought-iron fire escape runs down the right two-thirds of the facade, which is topped by a black metal roof cornice with large modillions.
Over the years, the building housed a variety of dry goods, hardware, and cutlery concerns, as well as light manufacturers and other small businesses. It was recently converted to residential use, with the ground floor occupied by Mudville 9 Saloon.
