5-story Italianate residential building completed around 1860 as twin store-and-loft buildings. The black-painted ground floor has fluted Corinthian cast-iron columns. The upper floors are clad in white marble, with a pair of modillioned cornices above the ground-floor storefronts. Both facades are four bays wide, with segmental-arched windows that have full stone surrounds and corbelled feet. The roof line is marked by a pair of black metal cornices with modillions. The buildings were joined internally sometime after 1900, and converted to residential around 1990. The ground floor is occupied by St. Marks Comics.
