"Tin City is a village at the mouth of Cape Creek, on the Bering Sea Coast, 5 miles southeast of Cape Prince of Wales. It is a former mining camp established at the base of Cape Mountain in 1903 after tin ore was discovered on Cape Mountain in 1902. Tin City Post Office was established in 1904 and was discontinued in 1909.
