Supported by a bridge structure made from surplus Army H-10 and H-20 box girder sections, the side view camera car could be moved along 524 feet worth of railroad track to the torpedo's estimated point of entry into Morris Reservoir. A 35mm Mitchel motion picture camera captured the last portion of flight and water entry at 120 frames per second. Also located on the car was a "trajectory" or "flare" camera. The 70 inch focal length camera with optically flat glass plates rotating at 30,000 revolutions per minute was used to meaure both veolocity and trajectory angles.
