Formerly owned by Tesoro after winning it in a bid after Shell was forced to divest it as part of an antitrust settlement.

With a total crude-oil capacity of 115,000 barrels per day, the refinery primarily supplies gasoline, jet fuel and diesel to markets in Washington and Oregon, and manufactures heavy fuel oils, liquefied petroleum gas and asphalt. It receives crude feedstock via pipeline from Canada and by tanker from Alaska and foreign sources.

  • Tesoro's refinery is to the north by the point, Shell's Puget Sound Refinery is to the south. The Tesoro refinery was built by Shell and later sold, the Shell refinery was built by Texaco. Confusint?! Here's some info on each: http://www.tsocorp.com/stellent/groups/public/documents/published/tsi_bus_ref_t3__anacortes.hcsp http://www.shellpsr.com/go/doc/3/5967/
  • Alaskan Oil is refined here so people in Seattle can drive cars.
