The Whiting refinery currently produces about 4.5 billion gallons of transportation fuel each year, enough to supply more than 5 million vehicles.

The actual refinery extends beyond this outline in ways that a rectangle cannot accommodate.
The refinery and its associated storage tanks occupies ~1400 acres.

All of the refinery images have been reduced in resolution, perhaps to hide sins, or perhaps for reasons of national security. This reduction of resolution is obvious given the sharp difference between the refinery images and all of the surrounding images, particularly the section of the refinery that touches Cline Ave to the southwest where the road curves and so also does the blurry/sharp image boundary.
