Fidalgo island is an island in the puget sound seperated from the mainland by the Swimonish channel. On the north end of the island lies the city of Anacortes, and on the south end Deception Pass, the only way to get to Whidbey Island via road. It is named afte Salvador Fidalgo, a Spanish cartographer and explorer.
