The Baton Rouge Polyolefins Plant (BRPO) produces high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene. The site was originally an Allied-Signal (now Honeywell) plant producing only HDPE. After selling a share of the facilities into a joint venture with Exxon Chemical Company in the 1990s, Allied-Signal later sold its remaining share. Subsequently, ExxonMobil added the polypropylene line to the site.
