6-story residential building completed in 1920. Designed by James E. Ware & Sons as a tenement, it is clad in pale yellow brick above a limestone ground floor. The upper floors are divided into two wings facing Third Avenue by a deep light well. The main entrance is on 30th Street, near the east end. It has wood-framed glass double-doors recessed in a white granite surround, with MEGANTIC carved above. Flanking the doorway are elaborate brackets wrapped with wreaths and trailing hanging pendants. They support an entablature topped by garlands and ribbons. To the right of the entrance is a small storefront. To the left is a much wider restaurant storefront, with its entrance at the southwest corner. It has a glass door facing both 30th Street and Third Avenue, each framed by pilasters and a triangular pediment. Two additional storefronts take up the north half of the ground floor.
The upper floors on the south facade have three single-windows in the middle. To either side is another trio of windows, but the middle ones are smaller. Single-window end bays complete the arrangement. The windows have flat stone sills and lintels. A red metal fire escape runs down the middle bay, and the facade is crowned by a green copper roof cornice with modillions and scrolled brackets.
The upper floors on the west facade have four single-windows on both the north and south wings, with two more red fire escapes, and additional roof cornices. The interior north- and south-facing walls of the light well are lined with single-windows and there are two more fire escapes towards the rear, where the rear wall has two single-windows.
The building contains 52 apartment units. The ground floor is occupied by Dan and John's Wings, Nobi Sushi, Banc Cafe, and Waxing Studio NYC.
