233-foot, 21-story modernist residential building completed in 2003. Designed by Costas Kondylis and Partners, the building is quite long, spanning 360 feet between Third and Second Avenues. The facade is clad in red and tan brick, with three curved, blue-grey metal-and-glass curtain wall sections that acts as giant dormers spanning from the 11th-17th floors on the north facade. The mass of the north facaded is organized into three matching sections, each highlighted by one of these "urban lanterns" as they were described by Mr. Kondylis. The 2-story base is clad in grey metal panels and glass, with storefront bays lining much of it. The main entrance is at the center, with a revolving door flanked by traditional glass doors, set in a large 2-story glass surround, with the doors covered by a suspended canopy of metal and green frosted glass. At the far west end is a ramp to the underground parking garage.
Each of the three main sections is composed of three bays of tripartite windows in red brick and slightly wider end bays that wrap around the corners to the recessed tan brick sections that have two bays of double-windows. Concrete floorplates are visible at each level, and black metal air-conditioning vents are located below the window bays. The center two bays at each of the three main sections give way to the curved curtain wall at the 11th floor, with the other bays continuing up to a setback above the 14th floor. Above the setbacks the brick facing is all tan until the top two floors, which have red brick. The curved curtain wall sections end in curved metal canopies at the 17th floor. There are also 2-bay non-recessed, red-brick sections at both ends of the facade that also set back above the 14th floor, and an additional tan-brick bay at the far west end that is cantilevered over the neighboring building. The roof has an expansive landscapes deck as well as some mechanical equipment.
The west elevation has three wide beige-brick bays in the middle, with recessed red-brick bays at the ends, both setting back above the 14th floor. The east elevation has red brick up to the 14th-floor setbacks, tan brick on the 15th-19th floors, and red brick on the top two floors. There are fewer openings, with only two bays of single-windows at the middle, as well as single panes wrapping around the edges from the north and south facades. The top two floors have four bays of wider windows.
The building contains 480 apartment units. The ground floor is occupied by European Wax Center, Juice Press, Sola Salon Studios, House of Wine and Liquor, Crunch Fitness (also occupying most of the 2nd floor), and a CVS pharmacy.
