6-story Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1899. It is clad in pale-orange brick with light-grey terra-cotta trim, above a modernized ground floor with metal-and-glass storefronts flanking a near-central entrance with a glass door, sidelight, and transom set in a beige granite surround. The pilasters to either side are overlaid with panels of polished black granite.
The upper floors have two matching halves, both with four bays of single-windows. The brick has various banding on each floor, with 2-story, banded, projecting narrow pilasters at the top two floors framing the outer window bays on each half. These have terra-cotta bases and capitals, the bases decorated with grotesque faces. The 2nd-4th floors have ornamented terra-cotta string courses at the shoulders of the windows, and the 2nd & 3rd floors have hooded lintels, with small peaked pediments topping the outer bays on the 3rd floor. The 4th floor has round-arched windows, with terra-cotta architraves and keystones bearing faces. There are terra-cotta panels carved with Renaissance ornament between the 5th & 6th floors.
A pair of tan metal fire escapes runs down the facade, extending up through the roof parapet, which is capped by a stone coping. The building contains 22 apartment units. The ground floor is occupied by a Subway sandwiches, Optic Shades, and Kips Bay Wine & Liquor.
