6-story (and basement) Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1904. Designed by Sass & Smallheiser, it was built as one of four near-matching tenement buildings. The facade is clad in dark-grey painted brick above a rusticated limestone base and brick basement, boAt the top, loth also painted dark-grey, visible behind an areaway at the east half enclosed by iron fencing.
A low, 3-step stoop bridges across the basement areaway, with metal handrails. The doorway has red wood-and-glass double-doors and a short transom flanked by pilasters with foliate ornament. At the top are foliate brackets and an escutcheon. The brackets carry a projection of the stone cornice capping the 1st floor that serves as a base for the bottom fire escape landing. On the upper floors the middle bay has two single-windows, with the fire escape landings having decorative patterns. The outer bays have double-windows and these bays project above the ground floor (where they have iron grilles), with angled sides with brick banding.
At the 2nd floor all the windows have stone surrounds with bead and egg-and-dart moldings, along with escutcheons at the tops of the middle-bay windows, and egg-and-dart cornices with large scrolled brackets at the outer bays. The middle bay has lintels with scrolled brackets at the 3rd-5th floors, and the 3rd floor is set off by a continuous band course with a Greek fret pattern. At the 3rd floor the windows at the outer bays have hooded, splayed lintels with scrolled keystones; at the 4th floor they have lintels with small scrolled brackets; and at the 5th floor they have herringbone pilasters with small scrolled brackets, panels beneath with roundels, and rounded pediments on top.
A rough-faced, rounded string course sets off the top floor, which has flat, splayed lintels with scrolled keystones. The facade is crowned by a projecting white metal roof cornice with modillions, dentils, panels, and four console brackets. It also projects out at the outer bays.
