148-foot, 15-story mid-century modern cooperative-apartment building completed in 1959. Designed by Leo Stillman, it is clad in pale-yellow brick on the west, north, and south facades, and red brick on the rear east facade, above a ground floor of light-brown brick lined with white-tile and glass storefronts along the avenue. The main entrance is centered on the south facade, with metal-framed glass double-doors, sidelights, and transom set in a surround of polished red granite and covered by a rounded, grey canvas canopy extending out over the sidewalk. A shallower, wider, stainless-steel canopy tops the granite surround. To the east 1st floor has two single-windows, a tripartite window, and two double-windows, the last one is a 1-story extension at the far east end, although this section of the ground floor actually functions as a 2nd floor, due to the site sloping down to the east and another floor arising east of the entrance. This lower level has two wide windows, a single-window and a glass door at the end. A metal railing tops the extension at the end of the building.
The upper floors have, from west to east, two double-window bays, a small single-window bay, a double-window, a regular sized single-window, two tripartite windows, and a double-window bay at the east end. all with aluminum framing. Air-conditioning vents are cut below some of them. The west facade on the avenue has four tripartite window bays, with two single-window bays in the middle. A simple, thin coping marks the roof line.
The north facade above the shorter neighboring buildings has a bay of single-windows, and a bay of smaller bathroom windows, near the middle. The red-brick east facade has three single-window bays and a tripartite window on the front section. The northern third is set far back and has two bays of tripartite windows.
There is a roof deck on the western part of the roof. The building was converted to a co-op in 1981, with 106 apartments. The ground floor at the west side is occupied by CityMD Urgent Care.
