4-story commercial building originally completed in 1819 as a row house by James N. Wells & Sons, a real estate brokerage that occupied the basement level. At some point the building was massively remodeled on the lower floors, with the parlor floor and basement re-clad in limestone, and a double-height window created at the center, framed by grey granite with notched corners and a small scrolled keystone. New entrances were created on either side at the ground floor, now with glass-and-bronze doors in bronze surrounds topped by granite panels. The limestone base is capped by a band with alternating rosettes and triglyphs.

The upper floors are clad in red brick, with three bays of single-windows with dark-brown metal cornices. The facade is crowned by a white metal roof cornice with acanthus-leaf brackets and panels.

In 1989 the building was acquired by Stribling & Associates, when James N. Wells & Sons merged with the brokerage. The building was renovated in 2013, and is still occupied by Stribling.
