Streamline Moderne (architecture), apartment building, 2018 construction

144-foot, 13-story modernist/streamline-moderne residential building completed in 2018. Designed by CetraRuddy, it is clad in white metal panels on the lower seven floors, and glass window bands with grey metal spandrels on the top floors.

The main entrance is at the east end of the south facade on 43rd Street. It has a glass wall with a revolving door and traditional glass door. On either side is a bronze wall section of vertical strips arranged in an abstract fashion; hidden service doors are integrated into these walls. The entire entry area is covered by a large canopy of metal and illuminated white panels. To the left the ground floor has a glass storefront extending to the rounded southwest corner. Continuing along the avenue, the ground floor has more glass storefront space, with two recessed bays of commercial entrances, one near the south end and one near the north, both with glass double-doors. The northwest corner of the ground floor is also rounded. The east half of the north facade's ground floor has metal vents, a loading dock, and a service entrance with a glass-and-steel door.

On the three main facades (north, west, south) the 2nd-7th floors are divided into two 3-story sections with slightly inset windows between piers that bulge outwards. The windows have black metal framing in several different configurations. Those at the northwest and southwest corners wraps around the corners. Within the two 3-story sections, the floors are divided in each bay by concave grey metal spandrels. The south facade has seven bays (plus the corner), the west facade has 16 bays (including the end bays that wrap around the corners), and the north facade has five bays.

The top floors (with the ribbons bands of blue glass) have rounded corners, with progressive, terraced setbacks on various floors also having rounded corners. The terraces are enclosed by glass railings.

The rear, east-facing facade has white metal panels fully cladding the north end (even the top floors), where there are three bays of small, square windows. Behind this is a light court with balconies on the south-facing wall. The facade here is the glass bands and silver metal spandrels design. The south inner corner of the light well is curved, as is the south outer corner, with the same cladding extending farther south along the facade. The south end reverts to the white cladding, and the far end projects out, without windows. There are glass balconies on the north-facing wall of this projecting section. The mechanical penthouse rising from the roof is also clad in white metal panels.

The building contains 164 apartment units. The ground floor is occupied by a Starbucks coffee, and The Learning Experience day care center.
