"Barikadite" is a protected site with Ordinance № 728 from 24.03.1962 and recategorizated with Ordinance № РД-332 from 31.03.2003 of Ministry of Environment and Waters.
Aims of the declaration: Conservation of a venerable beech forest and characteristic landscape with broad-leaved forest and meadow societies.
Unique identification code in the register of protected areas in Bulgaria: 235.
Area: 119.7 hectares.
It overlaps with the Sredna Gora Conservation Area under the Birds Directive. The protected area was declared by Order No.77 of February 3, 1986 (State Gazette No. 16/1986).
