Rilski Мanastir ("Rila Monastery") was declared a nature park by Order № РД-114 of 24.02.1992 of the Committee on Forests and Forest Industry of the Council of Ministers, promulgated in issue № 20/10.03.1992 of the State Gazette. Area: 27370.7 hectares.
"Rila Monastery" Nature Park is one of the largest natural parks in Bulgaria, covering areas located from 750 meters to 2700 meters above sea level, the highest point is Rilets Peak - 2713 meters above sea level. Includes botanical and eco-trails.
