The Victory Arch built in New York to celebrate the return of troops in 1919 from WW1. Built at a cost of $80,000 it was only a temporary structure made of a gypsum based plaster and wood and was demolished in the summer of 1920. It was located on 5th Ave between 24th St and Worth Square.
