  • When I lived in Japan, many years ago, I did not like Tokyo at all, but now I always look forward to returning. Probably no other city has its resilience-recovering from fires, revolution, earthquake and bombing. Much of it is unattractive but it has everything--the rush of Shinjuku, amazing bubble-economy buildings, quiet neighborhood alleys, beauty in small places.

  • it is a nice experience to visit Japan for Tokyo especially. Nice city in most, but you got to prepare lots of cash because it is the one of the most expensive city in the world. Prepare little of ur Japanese and English for sure. Ganbatte kdasai!!!

  • actually farida_keren, tokyo isnt one of the most expensive cities in the world. getting there is, but inside of the city it is relatively cheap. the yen is at its lowest in 21 years, but that doesnt mean you can go and empty your wallet
